Every October, we join together for Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) to honor survivors, remember those whose lives were lost, and unite our communities in the fight to end intimate partner violence.
Domestic violence affects people of every age, background, gender, and economic status—yet it thrives in silence and isolation. DVAM is our collective call to speak up, listen with empathy, and dismantle the stigma surrounding abuse. Beyond raising awareness, this month is about driving meaningful action: strengthening support networks, advocating for survivors, and investing in prevention and root-cause solutions.
This October, we invite you to stand with us—whether by wearing purple, sharing resources, supporting local shelters, or simply reaching out to someone who may need help. Together, we can build a future defined by safety, respect, and thriving, healthy relationships.
